PermitLeads

Every building permit in Calgary and Edmonton. On one page, every Monday.

I pull both cities' building-permit feeds every week and sort them into a one-page lead sheet. Realtors get their own communities, mortgage and insurance brokers get the projects that need them. The first sheet is free.

Hand-built and hand-sent by one person in Alberta. No app, no login, no contract. It's an email that makes you money.

This is the sheet

A real PermitLeads weekly sheet for a Calgary territory: hot leads box at the top, permits grouped by community, dollar values and contractors shown. Addresses blurred in this sample.

A real week in Calgary: 47 permits and $14.4 million in estimated construction value across one four-community territory, hot leads pulled to the top, everything grouped by neighbourhood. Addresses are blurred here. On your sheet they aren't.

Who it's for

Realtors

A permit on a street you farm usually means a listing down the road. You want to know before the sign goes up. Your communities are exclusive to you. One agent per territory, that's the rule.

Mortgage brokers

A $531k new build has financing behind it somewhere, and renos that size get financed too. The sheet shows where construction dollars are moving in your city every single week.

Insurance brokers

A homeowner who adds a second storey rarely tells their broker the replacement cost just changed. The sheet is a weekly list of exactly those conversations, with addresses.

How it works

  1. Tell me where you work. Email me your city and, if you're a realtor, the communities you farm.
  2. Your first sheet lands free. Real permits from your patch, addresses and all. If it's not useful, say so and keep it. An honest no helps me too.
  3. If you want it weekly, it's $99 a month. Full sheet every Monday morning. Invoice and Interac e-transfer, like any Alberta small business. Cancel by replying to any Monday email.

Fair questions

Where does the data come from?

The City of Calgary and City of Edmonton open-data portals. Building permits are public record. What you're paying for is the work: your territory cut out, hot leads flagged, useful columns, every Monday without you ever thinking about it.

Is this private information?

No. Cities publish every permit. Most people just never look.

Do my competitors get the same sheet?

Realtors: no. One agent per territory, full stop. If your communities are taken I'll say so. Mortgage and insurance sheets are cut by city rather than by neighbourhood, since those files don't respect community lines.

Why so cheap?

It's early. The launch rate buys me the thing I need most right now, which is honest feedback from people who actually work these cities. The price rises for new subscribers later; early ones keep $99.

Who's sending this?

Riley Hazelaar. I'm in Medicine Hat, I build and send every sheet myself, and I read every reply. No team, no autoresponder.

What if I want out?

Reply to any Monday email with one word and you're out. Nothing to cancel through, nobody calls you.
